Cornish Diet Campaign
The North Cornwall branch of Mebyon Kernow – the Party for Cornwall launched the Cornish Diet Campaign at the Camelford Show on Wednesday 12th August.
As a part of a ‘Living Communities’ theme, the Cornish Diet calls for 80% of all food served on Cornwall Council owned or run premises to come from Cornwall by 2012. This would include a clear long-term development path so that growers and producers can find and access potential future markets in the public sector.

Good to see such interest in garden share.
Many Transition groups are developing Garden share projects – try Transition Penwith – email projectofficer@transitionpenwith.org.uk, web http://www.transitionpenwith.org.uk

Garden Share
I’m not sure if I’m posting in the right area but would like to find out if I can offer my gardens as a garden share. I’m unable to look after the gardens as they should be looked after and really need some help, I have fruit trees in the rear garden which is big enough for growing vedge, in fact years ago it was used for vedge growing from potatoes to herbs.
I can no longer physically do anything in the gardens and theyr becoming overgrown now.
Re: Garden Share
Hi, I’ve moved your post to the Food forum as Garden Share is certainly something both Transition Truro and Transition Falmouth are keen to promote.
I recommend joining the TTdiscuss email group as there is plenty of discussion of Community Allotments/Garden share on it – see Contact Page
Transition Falmouth is also in the early stages of setting up a formalised Garden Share project in partnership with other organisations. Personally, I’ve also had my garden on offer for garden share with other LETS members on Falmouth LETS – due for re-launch soon.
All the best,
Rob (TT web admin)

RE: Re: Garden Share
Hi Cadgaboo
I’d be happy to help out in your garden before it officially becomes a Garden Share. I live in a flat in Truro so would love the chance to help someone else in their garden and maybe try my hand at growing a few vegetables.
