Truro Place Shaping Project

Cornwall Council, Truro City Council and Truro Chamber of Commerce, Truro BID and Kenwyn Parish Council have appointed Lavigne Lonsdale and PBWC architects to help generate ideas to support “a thriving Truro”, both now and in the longer term, for future uses of key publicly owned brownfield sites within the city, building on the work of the Truro and Kenwyn Neighbourhood Plan.

As a result, a series of recent events, the “Truro Place Shaping Project” in Truro (Thursday May 24th to Sunday May 27th), sought further ideas with the help of the public.

Transition Truro submitted this document to the Place Shaping Project as an opportunity to offer suggestions to improve the health, well-being and resilience of our community. The focus was on a number of ideas and initiatives which would aim to address climate change by reducing reliance on fossil fuels, conserving natural resources and by working towards a low carbon, sustainable and circular economy.
