Danger – Sewage pressure building up!

Update on Newham biogas. As a result of pressure from T.T., South West Water has agreed to a meeting in April at the Newham sewage works to discuss the prospects for a biogas plant.

Martin Ross, Environmental Manager, will be coming to meet with T.T.supporters, including local energy experts Charmian Larke and Ben Simpson. Charmian is particularly interested in feeding Newham with local food wastes as well as the more obvious products.

The issue of Newham CHP/biogas is also being raised at the Torquay conference of the Consumer Council for Water.

Don’t hold your breath, but we have caused a little ripple in the local sewage pond!
