A strong and positive message from the people of Cornwall who want action not words at Copenhagen climate talks.
Led by a horse and cart and Cornish piper, around 200 people marched through Truro on Tuesday 27th October to welcome cyclists carrying the Cornish Declaration on Climate Change. These pledges of action on climate change were carried by relays of cyclists to Saltash and thence by a parade on Saturday across the Tamar Bridge and on to Westminster.
Speakers emphasised local action varying from urging support for the Carland Cross windfarm to Truro City Council trying to implement 10/10 carbon reduction.
