Penair Community Garden is based at Penair school in Truro. It was established in 2014 when Penair school contacted Truro City Council looking to get members of the local community involved in their existing garden. The City Council got in touch with Transition Truro and it started from there. With the help of Penair school and a committed group of volunteers a bare plot of land has grown into a thriving organic and wildlife friendly garden, growing fruit, vegetables and flowers.
The group have regular gardening sessions at the weekends and other times as weather and volunteer availability permit. For further information go to the Facebook group where dates and times of gardening sessions are posted.
If you fancy some relaxing gardening in a peaceful location do come along and say hello. You don’t have to be an expert gardener and you don’t have to commit to regular sessions. Pop up and find out what it’s about. Refreshments are always available!
